ISAAC 2010 Lenten & Holy Week devotionals available soon!

ISAAC will again provide on-line Lenten and Holy Week devotionals. This year’s devotionals will reflect a broad cross-section of Asian and Pacific Islander American church leaders and seminary and college professors throughout North America. Each writer will reflect on texts from the Book of Common Prayer in relationship to the API contexts in North America. I’m certain you’ll be intrigued by the rich diversity of voices!

Many evangelical and “low church” believers are not familiar with the Christian seasons as a resource for spiritual reflection and growth. Though ISAAC consciously identifies itself as an evangelical organization, we believe that Jesus and his gospel reverberate in many different Christian communions and we encourage greater awareness of Asian and Pacific Islander Christians in all these communities Reflecting on scripture together with these diverse voices during Lent and Holy Week is a spiritual discipline that can help us see God at work throughout the global church [Dennis Bratcher of The Voice, the Internet web site of CRI/Voice, Institute provides a helpful introduction to the Season of Lent at: http://www.crivoice.org/cylent.html].

I invite you to visit the ISAAC Blog everyday, beginning on Ash Wednesday (Feb. 17th) through Easter Sunday (Apr. 4th), and attend to the hearts and minds of North American API Christians. Sign up at this link if you’d like to receive the daily devotionals by email [CLICK HERE]
